Monroe Township NJ Water Infrastructure History
The Monroe Municipal Utilities Authority (MMUA), established in 1957, manages water infrastructure for approximately 31,490 Monroe Township residents. The township’s water comes primarily from the Kirkwood-Cohansey and upper Potomac-Raritan-Magothy aquifers, accessed through a system of wells maintained by the MMUA.

The MMUA has instituted water conservation measures, including restrictions on non-essential outdoor water use and an odd-even watering system based on property location.
