While some minerals are safe for us to consume in our drinking water, like calcium and magnesium, others are harmful to our health. Copper and lead can enter your drinking water through plumbing pipes, fixtures, and other materials. Being exposed to copper and lead above the action levels may very well result in health problems.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) founded a regulation in 1991 to help control copper and lead in drinking water. The Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) requires systems to monitor their drinking water. If there’s more than 15 ppb of lead and/or more than 1300 ug/l of copper present in the water, remedial actions must be taken.
If you’re experiencing poor water quality or are concerned about the safety of your water, you must contact us; Olympian Water Testing™. Our consultants and laboratory field technicians will collect your water samples for professional analysis. We will analyze them in our top NELAP-certified water laboratory.

Our Standards
All drinking water in the New York and New Jersey area is within the accepted and normal standards set by the EPA and various other city rules and regulations. Water gets contaminated with lead and copper after it leaves the plants, typically in your home or facility while it stagnates in both new and aging plumbing.
Our Process
Once we have collected samples of your water, we will have them analyzed for copper and lead to regulatory standards in our designated partner laboratory. We will follow up and report on your results of the testing as soon as they have been through our two-time review process. If there are harmful quantities of copper and lead above the action level in your water, we will work with you to develop a scope and some direction to move forward whenever possible.
