The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) is a science museum located in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York. The museum was founded in 1964 as part of the 1964-65 World’s Fair and has since become a popular destination for visitors of all ages.

NYSCI is dedicated to promoting scientific literacy and understanding and offers a wide range of exhibits, programs, and activities designed to engage and educate visitors about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Funding For The New York Hall of Science

Funding for the New York Hall of Science was part of a $20 million grant by the Carnegie Corporation to 406 arts and social services in the city. The donation had made it possible for then-mayor Michael Bloomberg to ensure that these facilities received the upgrades they needed to offer visitors an educational experience.

However, the hall continued to receive funds from various sources, which made it essential to its expansion and operation. This was in stark contrast to the museum being the point of neglect owing to a string of funding cuts in the 1990s.

Even though it is more common now, the museum was amongst the first to have young visitors access the exhibits and provide valuable feedback in preparation for its reopening in 1986.
